Founder of Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) and prime mobilizer for President Goodluck Jonathan and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, has declared that the anticipated victory of the ruling party in Saturday’s presidential elections would not come as a surprise.
Dr. Ubah said TAN laboured vigorously to rally Nigerians, particularly the youths which constitutes over 40% of the population, behind President Jonathan.
“I am so happy that we have done excellently well. We thank God that we had the opportunity to serve, to show Nigerians the best candidate and we thank God also that from the onset our expectations were fully met because if we have had another candidate emerged from the party, it would have been disastrous” he said.
He noted that when the teeming Nigerians endorsed the President and the PDP also endorsed him, it made the journey very smooth from the onset.
Addressing 3,000 people on the streets of Abuja on Thursday, last week, Ubah said it would have been really difficult if the endorsement by 18 million Nigerians that asked him to run had been at crossroads with that of the party.
The TAN founder, who doubles as PDP Deputy Director for Contact and Mobilisation of the presidential campaign committee, was optimistic about the outcome of the presidential polls and expressed appreciation to all Nigerians for re-electing President Jonathan.
