The Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Prof. Bamitale Omole, has urged newly admitted students to shun activities that may lead to closure of the institution.
Omole said this while welcoming the students at the ongoing orientation programme holding at the amphitheatre of the university.
Omole, who had earlier informed the students with facilities on the university campus, encouraged them to get involved in responsible unionism.
He said that, “the university believes in responsible unionism, where our students can engage their potentials as leaders of tomorrow. It is for this reason that we believe that the participation of students in unionism will add value to the university and make for responsible leadership beyond the confines of the university.”
