A new President Customary Court of Appeal has been sworn-in in Enugu State. He is Justice Judge C. Nnamani.
Performing the swearing in at the Government House, in Enugu, on Monday, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, said that his appointment followed the recommendation and approval of the National Judicial Council in line with the rule guiding the process.
He explained that the event was timely in order not to create a vacuum in Customary Court of Appeal in the state.
The governor noted that the appointment of Justice Nnamani followed his track record that was worthy of emulation and thanked the members of the Bar and Bench for their massive turn up at the event.
The Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice Innocent A, Umezulike said that the appointment of Justice Judge Chibeze Nnamani as the President, Customary Court of Appeal in the state was based on merit.
