Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos admits it was tough for his team against Manchester City without Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo was sidelined with a thigh injury as Madrid played out a 0-0 draw at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-final. The visitors had their chances in Manchester without breaking through as Ronaldo’s absence was at times felt. Kroos said it was tough for his team to cope without the star attacker, who has 47 goals in all competitions this season.
