TINUBU, OTHERS BEG NLC, SAY GOVT IS OPEN TO NEGOTIATION

The Federal Government of Nigeria, may  go back to negotiation table
with the umbrella body of the Nigeria workers union,  the NLC, if the
words of the former governor of Lagos state Ahmed Bola Tinubu is
anything to go bye.

The All Progressive Congress APC chieftain, Friday,  paid a visit to
the Labour secretariat in Abuja, where he appealed to the leadership
of the NLC under comrade Ayuba Waba, to see reasons with the Mohammadu
Buhari  led administration.

Ahmed Tinubu, while appealing to the NLC, to sheath its sword, on the
decision of the federal Government fuel price hike, said that the
administration, has injected over #500billion in the market, to
cushion the suffering of Nigerians, while the fuel scarcity lasts.

His words “I will advises that the labour, in Nigeria, should reason
with the present administration, because we have found out that what
government is doing is for the future benefits of Nigeria. We have
also found out that the future will be bright. For once, let us get
things right. Let us protest when there is the need for it but we
should reason with the government when we also find it is toeing the
right part”

The Former governor of Lagos state, believed that the fuel price
increase, can be reduced overtime when Government put things in order.
Stating that positive change, comes with little hardship and with
patience. He also said that the Nation will triumph. “you could recall
the effrontery of many world leaders that eventually brought positive
change in their country. We also travels to those countries and come
back with good testimonies of what the effort has brought in the
country. So our own country should begin to adopt such” He said.

Tinubu, while romancing with the NLC leadership, he revealed that the
federal government is still open to negotiation in finding a away to
come to terms with the Labour Union. He pointed out that dialogue is
key to every situation, which parties come to terms of agreement.

While responding, the president of the Nigeria Labour Union, comrade
Ayuba waba, said that his leadership stands for the benefit of
Nigerian workers, whose befits for suffering has been reduced to
nothing, stressing that the refusal of the Government in adjusting to
its earlier stand shows no respect  to the people of Nigeria.

Ayuba, said that the 145 naira per pump price, is a huge slap on the
face of individual Nigerian worker, whose salary can no longer buy an
item in the open market considering the 18,000, naira minimum wage. He
agreed that going back to the negotiation table, can as well put
things to rest if the Government should reason along with NLC.

Speaking at a separate event, the minister of the Federal Capital
Territory, Mallam Mohammed Musa Bello, also had appealed to the
leadership of the Nigeria Labour congress to help the present
administration to help the Buhari administration, by calling off its
strike action and persistence call for its members to stay off their
official duties.

Mallam Bello, made this call, while performing and inauguration
ceremony of the newly elected Chairmen of the FCT area councils.

He said, I would appeal to the Labour union, to ensure that its
affiliates, retrace its footsteps to enable Government focus on
policies of putting Nigeria on a good footing.
According to him, the Labour leadership has all it takes to call the
members to order, to work in line with government aspirations.

Meanwhile, the labour protest in Abuja has persisted unabated since
the march kick started. also the security agencies, has also continued
to mount across the Abuja metropolis to prevent any occurrence or
