Adopt Modern Technology to Fight Corruption in Nigeria – Agada

Technology expert, Mr James Agada has called on the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) to adopt modern technology in his quest to check corruption in Nigeria.

Agada, who is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Computer Warehouse Group Plc, said modern technology can be used to detect fraud and prevent people from stealing.

According to him, technology is evolving and that several technology solutions have been developed to block financial leakages in governance, adding that government at all levels should apply such technology solution transparently.

He recalled that Buhari promised to stamp out corruption in the country during his election campaign, and urged him to do so transparently, using technology as key driver.

The CWG’s CTO suggested that details of yearly budgets should be uploaded online and Nigerians should be given the opportunity to critically examine the budgets and make their inputs before its implementation.

He also advocated that federal, state and local government contracts and projects should be uploaded online for public discussions to enable people make inputs on such contracts and projects, before their implementation.
