The rainy season seems to bring a sense of relief to us – the lush green trees, enjoying a cup of hot tea, the coolness of the breeze and more. Although refreshing, rainy season is not a time to expose your skin to the environment. This is because pollutants get washed away spreading contaminations that could lead to build-up of skin impurities thereby causing unwanted skin conditions.
Here are some tips to help you maintain that glow this rainy season.
- Exfoliate –Exfoliating is necessary for maintaining the skin and removing the dead cells on your skin. As rainy season has higher chances of skin infections and bacterial build up on skin, use Murad’s AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser 2 or 3 times a week to polish away dullness and locked-in impurities to reveal fresh and healthy skin.
- Cleanse – Never skip cleansing! Not cleansing allows for bacterial invasion which leads to breakouts. Your normal routine of splashing water and soap on your face won’t cut it so invest in a cleanser. Use Murad’s Essential-C Cleanser to remove impurities and prevent bacterial growth.
- Toner – Many people skip using toners mainly because they do not know what it does. Toners are different from cleansers. Your skin has a pH level of 5.5 which makes it slightly acidic and toners not only help eliminate excess acidity, they also return the skin to its normal pH.
- Moisturise – Maintaining your skin’s moisture level is very important during the rainy season. Although there is an abundance of moisture in the air, evaporation will occur and suck the life out of your skin. Murad’s Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum with SPF 30 keeps the skin moist, healthy and safe from UV rays.
