SuperSport begins countdown on Euro season
The world’s most exciting football leagues are returning to SuperSport with a bang this August as Europe’s best players go to battle across the continent to win the most coveted prizes in the club game.

Only DStv will showcase all 380 matches of the Premier League and all 380 matches from La Liga while GOtv customers will get a slice of the action with select games.

SuperSport will also broadcast two classic European clashes early in the new season. Mourinho will take his Manchester United team to the Philip II Arena in Skopje, Macedonia, to have former side Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on August 8.

Cahill concerned by Chelsea size
Gary Cahill believes Chelsea will have to steer clear of injury problems if they are to defend their Premier League title. Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko are set to miss the season opener at home to Burnley on Saturday, while new arrivals Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata are short of match fitness.

With Chelsea having more than 20 players out on loan and the likes of Nemanja Matic, Nathan Ake, Asmir Begovic and Juan Cuadrado having left on a permanent basis, Antonio Conte’s squad looks thin.

Weah was my idol, says Ronaldo
Former Brazil international Ronaldo says he used to look up to Liberian legend George Weah, who is one of Africa’s greatest footballers of all-time.

Ronaldo, whose full name is Luis Nazario De Lima, is arguably the best striker of all-time and he’s widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers to have played the game. The retired marksman disclosed that Weah, legendary Dutch striker Marco Van Basten and Italian legend Paolo Maldini were his idols.

Red Devils loan Borthwick-Jackson to Leeds
