Manchester United are the latest club to be linked with West Brom’s Saido Berahino after he watched their FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.
The 21-year-old striker, who has bagged 18 goals for the Baggies so far this season, has made no secret of his desire to move on to a bigger club at some point in his career.
Liverpool and Tottenham have both been linked with a summer move for his services, but United could now enter the race after Berahino was spotted with his representative Aidy Ward at Old Trafford to watch their 2-1 defeat against Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
It seems very likely that United boss Louis van Gaal will opt against turning Radamel Falcao’s loan spell at the club from Monaco into a permanent deal at the end of the season. Therefore he will require a new striker in the transfer window and has already been linked with Burnley’s Danny Ings, who is approaching the end of his contract at Turf Moor.
However it appears that Berahino could now be another option given that he has proven he can score on a regular basis in the Premier League.
