World Boxing Federation (WBF) Cruiserweight boxing champion, Bash Ali (OON) who is currently cooling his heels at Kuje Prison, Abuja, will be arraigned today at the Senior Magistrate Court, Cotonou Street, Wuse Zone 6.

The boxing great confirmed this in a text message he sent to the Daily Times on Tuesday evening.

Earlier on February 27, the ageless boxer, whose birthday fell on the aforementioned date, also sent a text reminding President Goodluck Jonathan about his current ordeal following his detention.

The message he sent to President Jonathan read thus, “GEJ, Feb 27 was my birthday and I spent it in jail in Kuje Prison because I said no to corruption at NEXIM Bank. If this is what I have to do to make Nigeria better and for the fight to happen, then nothing more redemptive. Use the glove I gave to you now to knockout corruption please. Champ Bash Ali, OON.”
