A two time Commissioner in the Governor Adams Oshiomhole administration in Edo State, Hon. Chris Ebare, has promised to deal with the challenge of unemployment among youths in Esan land that is presently plaguing them.
Ebare made the declaration recently when he addressed the All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, Ward Executives and Unit Chairmen of Ward Six and Seven of Esan South East LGA in Ubiaja.
Bemoaning the parlous state of infrastructure in the LGA, he took a swipe at past elected leaders of both Esan North East and Esan South East whom he blamed for the situation, stressing that they either lacked the wherewithal to canvass and attract government attention or they are just lackadaisical.
Ebare who had previously taken three shots at the slot for the House of Representative without success, alleged that he was denied by the powers that be then when the acclaimed godfathers’ trade in stock was imposition of candidates.
He is however optimistic that with the advent of Adams Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the APC and the fact that imposition of candidates has been consigned to the dustbin of history, he is sure of coming tops in the forth-coming primaries and the subsequent election as long as the electorate gives him the mandate.
He claimed he is head and shoulder above his co-contestant for the slot because of his intimidating profile and exposure that speaks volume for him.
“We should be tired of empty promises that are never fulfilled by our political brothers and sisters. It is high time that the socio-economical situation of our various communities is improved upon,” he said.
He appealed to the party faithful to shun those whose gospel is stomach infrastructure and desist from mortgaging their future and that of generations not yet born.
