A pro-Jonathan’s campaign group in Delta state says they wouldn’t rest in their oars to ensure President Goodluck Jonathan is reelected in his second term ambition.
The group coordinator who doubled as Coordinator of PDP Presidential Campaign
in Udu Council area of the state, Barrister Eterhisan Oputu said that the campaign is an everyday business for the people of the area.
Oputu who spoke during a campaign rally around Udu however called for the cancellation of INEC smart card reader saying those calling for it knew INEC was not ready enough to use it in the general elections.
According to him, the campaign train had gone round communities, 10 wards, market places and had visited leaders and clusters groups, traders, non indigenes, as well as religious leaders in the council area and the response have been positive.
While reaffirmed his commitment to work for the success of President Jonathan in the polls, Oputu expressed optimism that the PDP Presidential candidate would get a landslide victory over the APC candidate in Udu and Delta state in general.
“The aim of our work is to sell our presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan and to deliver other PDP candidates during the elections. We have done it before and what we are doing now have exceeded what we have being doing in previous elections. We have overtaken the opposition parties in our local government.
“It is an ongoing job; a daily job and we will keep doing this untill the umpire says stop”, he added.
