The Lagos State Police Command have arrested five notorious kidnappers who specialises in terrorising, robbing and kidnapping innocent people within the Ikorodu, Epe and Ibafo axis in Ogun state.
The suspects whose names were given as Felix Silver, 38, Oluwadare Segun, 32, Taye Videznon, and Adebowale Johnson were arrested after they had kidnapped a Chinese expatriate, Hang Kumming of GMC Construction Company, located at Ibeju lekki area in Elemoro area of Ajah.
It was gathered that the gang had been responsible for high profile kidnappings within the state, including the kidnapping of three students from Babington Macaulay Seminary School at Ikorodu early this year.
Parading the suspects at the tate police command, Ikeja, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Owoseni Fatai noted, “Felix Silver was arrested last week, and he is the leader of an armed robbery and kidnapping operations in Ikorodu, Epe and Ogun state, within Ibafo axis. He was arrested last week.
“This man is also responsible for the kidnap of the rescued Chinese man within the Ajah axis, three weeks ago.”
On how they carried out the kidnapping of three students from Babington Macaulay Seminary School at Ikorodu, 38-year-old Felix Silver said. “We burst the school fence and gained entrance to the school and kidnapped the girls to our hideout and demanded ransom. They paid N5.4 million as ransom. After we shared the money, I got N300, 000 for that operation.
“When the police began to look for me, I went underground, so they arrested my sister and my son. I have been on the run till a friend Adebowale Johnson called me to assist him to kidnap his Chinese boss, Hang Kumming, because he had been slashing his salary. I also participated in three kidnapping of his boss.”
