Osun signs MoU with Apple on vehicle ownership

In its massive drive to generate and improve the internally generated revenue of the state, the Osun State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Orange Apple Technology on electronic Proof of Vehicles and Change of Ownership.

Signing the three year contract on behalf of the Government, the Executive Secretary, Office of Transportation, Engr. Oluwagbemiga Anifowose, said that, the E-Change of Ownership Certificate on Vehicles and Motorcycles, which had not been practised in any part of the country, was good news and innovation for the state.

Anifowose revealed that, when the programme became operational, all revenue hitherto lost would be greatly reduced and the government would generate minimum of N2billion annually.

He used the medium to appreciate the Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for his ingenuity to resuscitate the state from the economic meltdown, which was brought about by the dwindling revenue from crude oil in the world market.
