Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has apologized to The Punch following his comments about the news medium in a recent spat where-in he purported to have been misquoted and misrepresented.
In the wake of his record-breaking move to Serie A side, Napoli, the Nigerian international in an interview with Sport1 had expressed his hope to emulate South American club legends Diego Maradona, Edinson Cavani and Gonzalo Higuain.
With the subsequent publication of Osimhen’s interview with Sport1 by The Punch, Osimhen alleged that he was misquoted, lashing out with verbal tirades during which he labelled the news medium as ‘copy and paste journalists’.
