The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command, has threatened to declare the chieftain of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), in Oshodi, Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a. MC Oluomo, wanted and also prosecute him if he continues to snub police invitations to report himself for interrogation.
Oluomo was instructed by the police to report to the law enforcement agency following last week’s mayhem in Oshodi area of Lagos which left some people dead and many properties destroyed.
Reports gathered that since last Thursday reveals that Oluomo had failed to surrender himself to the nearest police station as directed by the Lagos State commissioner of police, Kayode Aderanti.
The police commissioner had therefore threatened to declare Oluomo wanted if he failed to surrender himself to the police latest by Friday.
Speaking on the issue, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Lagos Police Command, Ken Nwosu said Oluomo had not surrendered himself, adding that the police had technically declared him wanted.
He said the police are waiting to perfect court papers before declaring him wanted, adding that since Oluomo had not reported himself to the police, he might be on the run and that the police would surely get him.
The PPRO added, “He has not reported. He was given 24 hours to report and he did not report.
