Deputy National Chairman (South), of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Olusegun Oni has congratulated Aare Gani Abiodun Adams, on his installation as the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland.
Oni joined array of prominent Nigerians from far and near, who have been congratulating Adams on his recent appointment.
In a letter sent yesterday, the APC chieftain said, “I congratulate you on your coronation as the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland by His imperial Majesty, IkuBaba Yeye, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, III. It is a well-deserved and worthy appointment for which we are all very proud.
“Your new position carries tremendous responsibility and total dedication to the good and glory of Yoruba race. It is also engaging, especially, in this challenging time in our nation’s development and the position of the Yoruba race in the scheme of things.
I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that you are equal to the task, and I believe your tenure will usher in a new era for us in a way that will further promote and defend our unity, custom and tradition.”
He also expressed appreciation to the Oyo monarch, His Imperial Majesty Oba Lamidi Adeyemi Olayiwola Atanda, describing Alaafin’ s judgement on the appointment of Aare Adams as sound and well-informed.
Adams was installed the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land on Saturday January 13, at a historic and epoch-making event at Durbar stadium, Oyo town, Oyo State.
