Ohuhu land of Umuahia North LGA has been advised to close ranks and move the clan forward.
This was on the occasion of the end of year party/Award ceremony of an Ohuhu socio-cultural organization, Ohuhu Solidarity Forum.
Speaking at the occasion, Hon Kelechi Kingsley Nwosu, a Special Assistant to Sen. Andrew Uchendu, member representing Rivers East in Rivers House of Assembly, expressed his happiness over the award given to him by Ohuhu Solidarity Forum, stating that this time, a prophet is with honour in his land.
He said he was born and bred at Ohuhu, but play politics in Rivers state, stating that the award will spur him to do more for Ohuhu clan.
He urged Ohuhu youths to shun crime stating “get rich quick attitude will make people make more mistakes” urging them to try as much as possible to get it right.
He, however lamented the backwardness of Abia, stating: Abia is still backward. Things are going wrong,” adding that with time, Abians will get it right.
Speaking at the event which served as an end of year party, the President of Ohuhu Solidairty Forum, Okechukwu Ufomadu said the occasion was “designed as a platform for thanksgiving, socialization, provoking intellectual discourse as well as honours and appreciation of worthy sons and friends of Ohuhu land with a view to building consensus on political and development challenges in Ohuhu land”.
According to him, the Forum desires “to continue to play a vital role in the development of the clan in all spheres of endeavour”.
Also speaking, the General Manager of Abia state Passenger Integrated Manifest/Safety Scheme, ASPIMSS, Kingsley Megwara while expressing his happiness over the award, lamented that some Ohuhu sons, because of money divulge the secrets of the clan while in politics, advising that such people should desist from that or face the wrath of the gods of the land.
He urged them to begin to mentor others and help them.
