NLC Election: Desist From Propaganda Against Wabba, MHWUN Warns

Kaduna State chapter of the Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), has warned  individuals and unions alleged to be engaged in what it termed destructive propaganda against their Presidential candidate Comrade (Dr.) Ayuba P. Wabba ahead of the rescheduled March 12th election to desist.

Comrade Ayuba P. Wabba who is the National President of MHWUN is contesting for the NLC president with  the president of Nigeria Union of Electricity Employee (NUEE), Comrade Joe Ajaero in the forth coming elections.


In a statement signed by Kaduna State Chairman of MHWUN, Comrade Emmanuel A. Wudiri, the union said it has overwhelming trust and confidence on Comrade Wabba for several years and he has brought success and development to MHWUN like never before.


“We are appealing to all affiliates of NLC and MHWUN to continue to support one another and respect the their constituted authorities in the spirit of equity, fairness and justice in order to achieve successful NLC National Delegates Conference on 12th March, 2015 in Abuja. It is imperative to therefore call on all those engaged in destructive propaganda against Comrade (Dr.) Ayuba P. Wabba to desist because he is a forthright and competent leader not only in the country but among the West Africa countries and we, including many other unions are solidly behind him in the March 12 NLC elections. The confidence and trust the Medical & Health Workers’ in Nigeria have in Comrade (Dr.) Ayuba P. Wabba for several years now cannot be overemphasized nor underestimated because his administration has brought tremendous success and development to our union,” the statement read.
