The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Sunday morning.
The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Saturday in Abuja.
It stated that there would be chances of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Lafia and Lokoja axis during afternoon and evening hours with night time temperatures of 21 to 28 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that southern states would experience morning cloudiness and localised thunderstorms over the south-east coast during the afternoon and evening hours with night time temperatures of 20 to 27 degrees Celsius.
NiMet also predicted that northern states of Sokoto, Kano, Gusau, Katsina and North-east would experience sunny and hazy conditions with night time temperatures of 18 to 29 degrees Celsius.
According to the prediction, sunny condition to the extreme northern parts with hazy situation in north east axis, while cloudy situation is expected due to relatively stable weather condition around the country.
“ There are few cases of localised thunderstorm events in central and southern cities in the next 24 hours,’’ it predicted. (NAN)
