A group, known as “NPA 1991 Retirees,” has called on the government of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and President–elect, General Muhammdu Buhari, to come to their aid over their unpaid entitlements by the management of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA).

In a statement signed by the National Chairman of the group, Engr. Gabriel Shotunde, the group made this appeal at a press conference held in Lagos, recently.

The group said it was seeking an improvement in the condition of its services in compliance with gratuity, pension, redundancy benefits, deceased workers, reviewed of pension rate and NPA condition of services, after the unlawful retrenchment of its members by the NPA since 1991.
