Members of the public have again been warned to be wary of buying lands from land speculators, popularly known as ‘Omo-Onile’, but rather, do a thorough investigation in order to ensure that it was not government land acquisition.

Chairman, Board of Directors, Ogun State Housing Corporation, Alhaji Bashiru Fadairo, gave this warning during a demolition exercise of illegal structures at Obada-Oko Housing Estate, in Ewekoro Local Government Area.

According to him, prior notices were given to affected persons to stop construction work on the land and those already residing in their structure should perfect their documents.

“We expected all affected persons after being served the warning notice to come to the corporation and regularise their title documents. Actually what we are doing now is just a warning to let them know that government was serious and people should desist from buying acquired land from trespassers,” Fadairo said.
