The Jigawa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday vowed to recall Sabo Nakudu, a House of Representative member representing Birnin-Kudu/ Buji Federal constituency and Ibrahim Hanun Giwa, member representing Gumel,Sule-Tankarkar, Gagagarawa and Maigatari federal constituency who defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) last year.
Speaking to journalists, the State Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Mahmuda Kuit, said Nakudu and Hanun Giwa had no reasons to leave the party because the party is not in crisis which is a prerequisite for defection.
He said they will set in motion a process to recall them back soon.
Kuit told newsmen that since they left the party, it was morally wrong for them to retain their seats.
In his reaction, the Jigawa State APC Chairman, Ado Sani Kiri said it was a belated attempt by the PDP to embarrass itself in a charade called recalling of its members who defected to APC saying it was bound to fail.
Kiri said the statement credited to the PDP Chairman was the joke of the year adding that it was laughable to say that “you want to recall a rep member of the house less than three weeks to general elections”.
