Chelsea‘s all-defender move finished by Branislav Ivanovic has been named the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week, presented by Nissan.

The Serbian right-back headed home after Gary Cahill had smartly flicked on a John Terry cross to help the Blues to a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in France.

The two clubs meet for the return leg of the last-16 tie at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.

With five goals each in the Premier League and Champions League combined, Ivanovic and Terry rank among the top-scoring defenders in Europe.

They have consistently made important contributions to Chelsea’s season at both ends of the pitch, and with Diego Costa well marked by the PSG defence in a typically tight encounter Ivanovic’s header proved vital.

Edinson Cavani pulled Laurent Blanc’s team level in the second half but the Blues now return home to London with an away goal under the belts and the tie finely poised.
