Reports reaching Daily Times said the Nigerian Army operating in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State have rescued another abducted Chibok girl, (name unknown).

This is coming days after the first girl, Amina Ali Nkeki, and her four-month-old baby was rescued from the Boko Haram hideout in the Sambisa forest.

Army spokesman Col Usman Sani Kukasheka said more details about the operation would be provided later.

In all, 217 girls remain missing after their abduction by the Boko Haram Islamist group from a secondary school in north-eastern Nigeria in 2014.
