BREAKING: Buhari appoints Ibrahim Kpotum new Police IG

Reports reaching The Daily Times says President Muhammadu Buhari will announce a former Kano State Police Commissioner, Mr. Ibrahim Kpotun Idris, as the new acting Inspector General of Police.

Idris is an Assistant Inspector General of Police who once led the Kano state police command.

Idris will replace Solomon Arase, who retires from the police force today.

The President is currently meeting with the new IGP for a presidential briefing.

  1. Congratulations to you Mr IGP. I hope you will surpass the great achievement recorded by you predecessor IGP Solomon Arase, because the man was an ardent worker. He made the Police to be respected unlike b4 when corruption was the order of the day. Although some few bad eggs are still in this category. l pray that God Almighty will grant you the power and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force.
