Nigeria needs a President that is young and contemporary in handling issues, a President that is intelligent and in tune with the present realities, says the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Saraki stated this on Sunday in Jos, at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat, while addressing party faithful on his journey to be elected as the party flag bearer of the PDP in the forthcoming party primaries.
“We don’t need a President that is selective; we need an all inclusive President who sees Nigerians as one.
“As a Senate President I withstood President Buhari and the All Progressive Congress (APC), in all their antics. Nigerians need such a person like me who will stand to defend democracy at all times.
“I am the masquerade of Buhari, I have defeated his greed to truncate democracy.
“This is the time for the North-central to produce a President and we shall all come together and take advantage of the chance we have”, the Senate President said.
In his remarks the State Chairman of the PDP Damishi Sango, said the Senate President has worn the hearth of Nigerians by standing the test of time when being rattled by the presidency.
