Plateau State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr. Pam Dongs, has said that the Governor Simon Lalong-led APC government in the state is committed to completing all abandoned projects that has direct impact on the people.
Dongs stated this at the end of project inspection tour to the 17 Local Government Councils embarked by Governor Lalong recently.
Speaking with journalists, the commissioner said that part of Lalong’s promise to the people of Plateau was not to leave abandoned projects, but to continue with them with the aim of completing them.
He said, the 45 kilometer road network among other road projects commissioned in Gindri-Mangu Local Government Areas was a clear indication that the governor will deliver on his mandate.
Dongs also said if the money owed Plateau State, totaling N4.8 billion on road project is paid by the federal government, the Lalong’s administration will thrive better in the next four years.
His words: “The Federal Government owes Plateau State N4.8 billion for federal roads in Plateau that the state government constructed. None of the federal roads constructed in plateau have been compensated,” the commissioner said.
