The judges that were arrested by the Department of State Security Services (DSS) on October 7 for alleged corrupt practices on Monday resumed work at their various courts.
Our correspondent who visited courts 7 and 11 of the federal high court Abuja whose judges were affected by the sting operations carried out by DSS operatives observed that Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the federal high court who was arrested and released the following day, sat on Monday.
He attended to 11 different cases on the cause list.
While Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of same federal high court whose house was raided and his written judgment carted away also resumed sitting yesterday and attended to the only one case shown in the cause list.
Two of the Supreme Court Justices, Inyang Okoro and Sylvester Ngwuta who were arrested in Abuja on same alleged suspension of corruption have also returned to work. But they were not part of the justices that made up a panel that sat yesterday.
It was not certain yesterday what the DSS want to do with their cases after the National Judicial Council and Nigerian Bar Association last week described the arrest as illegal.
