Jubilation in North Central confirms zone’s support for Atiku

…Campaign train hits Ibadan today for S/West rally
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation (PPCO) said the spontaneous jubilation and the overflowing crowd of supporters that received PDP’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, at the North Central Presidential zonal rally, in Ilorin, Kwara state yesterday was a clear confirmation of his acceptance across the board as Nigeria’s next president

The Director, Media and Publicity of PPCO, Kola Olgbondiyan noted with a high sense of responsibility, the sacrifices and commitment of the people of the North Central in joining other geo-political zones in the resolve to end the Muhammadu Buhari government and usher in a new era of national peace, unity and economic prosperity, as represented in the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar.

He said “the North Central in embracing Atiku Abubakar has taken a major step in the overall aspiration by all segments of Nigeria’s population to enthrone a caring, pro-people, transparent and development-oriented administration that will unify our nation, revamp our ailing economy and galvanize the productive energies of all our people, for the common good.

“The North Central has openly demonstrated their trust that Atiku Abubakar embodies a comprehensive understanding and practical solutions to the myriad of problems unleashed on them by the Buhari administration, which now represents hunger, starvation, penury, insecurity, violence and division in our land.

“The PPCO appreciates the efforts of leaders, critical stakeholders and PDP supporters in the North Central in ensuring overwhelming support for Atiku Abubakar in all the nooks and crannies of the geo-political zone and urged them to remain undeterred until victory is secured”, he said

The National Chairman of the Party, Prince Uche Secondus at the rally said that there will be no escape route for election riggers in 2019 as he warns the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to conduct free and fair election and avert crisis.

Prince Secondus noted that APC leaders have exhausted their lies and have come to the end of the road since the people cannot be fooled all of the time.

“Atiku Abubakar is a man set out by providence to rescue this country from the APC mess and we must give him our votes.

“He is the man destined to make Nigeria work again and he would end hunger and unite Nigerians once again.

The National Chairman warned the Police and other security operatives who might want to connive with INEC and APC to thwart the will of the people, that they would be stoutly resisted since the voters are determined to act as electoral soldiers to guard and protect their votes.

The Senate President who is also the Director General of the Presidential Campaign of the party, Senator Bukola Saraki told the rally that Atiku is the only person with wherewithal to tackle the challenges facing the country.

On his part the Presidential candidate, Atiku assured the people that with their mandate he would drastically address the myriads of the problems facing the country.

The highpoint of the rally which attracted top PDP leaders from the North Central zone was the handing over of victory flags to the Presidential candidate and PDP gubernatorial flag bearers in five states of Benue, Niger, Nasarawa, Plateau and Kwara excluding Kogi whose governorship election is due later in 2019

Ahead of the South West rally to be held in Ibadan today, the party has said it is set to dislodge the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections.

The PDP Presidential campaign Organisation (PPCO) said the South West is too sophisticated and educationally exposed to allow certificate forgers, incompetent leaders and fraudulent elements to brazenly continue to sit over their affairs, especially with arrogant show of disdain and official intimidation.
