Insecurity: Varsity students call for protection

Most students of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Ndele Campus, in Emohua local government area of Rivers State, have cried out to the state government to either relocate them from the campus or provide alternative in the institution with adequate security.

This is as a result of the incessant attacks on the campus by hoodlums suspected to be operating from the community.

Some of the students who spoke out on their predicaments said they were living in fear on a daily basis and could no longer sleep or concentrate on their studies following the criminal activities on the campus by hoodlums.

The students narrated how they blocked their doors and windows with springs and metal boxes to stop the criminals from gaining access into their hostels.
