INEC Materials, Officials Arrive Late in Abuja, Accreditation Delayed

Accreditation started late in most of the polling booths in Abuja city centre, despite the high turnout of voters.
Some of the voters, findings showed, started arriving at the various polling centres as early as 6am.
However, the accreditation exercise did not commence until after 10am, over two hours behind the 8am officially designated time.
At the three polling centres in Garki Area 8, opposite the Defence Headquarters, the situation was rowdy due to the large turnout of the voters who were not immediately attended to.
The same scenario played out in Garki Area 7, Area 3 and Area 1.
In Lugbe, one of the suburb towns of Abuja, accreditation of voters started late too, due to late arrival of materials.
Also in Apo district of Abuja, INEC officials did not come until after 10am today, despite the early arrival of the voters. Accreditation started there around 11am. The voters had however organised themselves appropriately by allotting those on queues with numbers.
