How Mavin crew flopped @ the AMVCA

The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards had come and gone and of course, many things went down at the venue of the event.
It was held at Eko Hotel, V.I on Saturday, March 7, 2015.
Loads of interesting performances yet, the day couldn’t have passed without us talking about the much anticipated Mavin crew performance.
For the viewers at home and the live audience, the group’s outing would have been one of the heights of the night yet, hopes were dashed by the wishy-washy stage show they gave.
First, Tiwa Savage and Dr Sid were conspicuously absent but it could have still been better if the rest of the crew were able to cover up for their absence.
Tiwa went missing in action because she jetted out of the country same day to Uganda where she perform at the international women’s day on Sunday night March 8, 2015.
The rest made of Don Jazzy, D’ija, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks and D’prince, stormed the stage singing ‘Dorobucci’ to the disappointment of all. Even the presence of Jazzy and D’Prince couldn’t save the day!
Their performance which opened the floor to that of Tuface, P-Square and others, made everyone think Tiwa and Sid’s absence totally threw them off balance.
First, it was the shortest performance compared to others who spent more time on stage.
Again, it was like the crew didn’t prepare well- more like disjointed solos kinda thing.
D’ija took Tiwa’s part while Reekado took Sid’s part.
The group didn’t do well at all!
Obviously the flop was caused by the absence of pre-recorded beat. None of the artistes who mounted the stage was allowed to perform with pre-recorded beat- it was live performances all through yet, the likes of Tuface and P-Square did well!
This fallout on Mavin’s part got tongues wagging as to the level of incompetence shown by the group when it was time to go live.
