Following the rapprochement between the Presidency and the National Assembly over the grey areas in the 2016 Appropriation Bill, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the allocation of N60 billion for the execution of special intervention projects for members of the legislature.
Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja while speaking to journalists. The lawmaker described as misleading and false, media reports that the money will be handed over to lawmakers to execute the projects in their various constituencies, asserting that the projects will be executed by Ministries,
Departments and Agencies (MDAs) while the National Assembly members will determine the type of projects, and where they should be domiciled.
