Fighting Corruption, Too Much Task for Buhari – Agoro

Corruption in the Nigeria has become so endemic that the task and effort to fight it may become too enormous for the in-coming administration of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to tackle effectively.

Dr. Olapade Agoro, Founder and former Presidential Candidate of the National Action Counciln (NAC), stated this in an interview with the Daily Times in lbadan, the Oyo State capital.

He expressed the view that the cankerworm of corruption, which has been deeply ingrained in Nigeria was not a child’s play, but an evil that may take more than mere rhetoric to tackle.

He said that even though Buhari, in his first coming, as the country’s military leader was known for his no-nonsense stance on corruption, he may find it very difficult to deal with the sophisticated shape the problem had taken.
