President Muhammadu Buhari has removed Dr. Abdullahi Baffa as Executive Secretary (ES), Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
He has been replaced by former ES of the agency, Prof Suleiman Bogoro.
No reason was given for Dr. Baffa’s removal.
In a statement issued by the Deputy Director of Information at the Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong, the FG announced that Suleiman Bogoro, the former Executive Secretary, who was initially appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in April 2014 has been reinstated to replace Baffa.
According to the statement, Dr. Baffa’s removal is to take effect immediately with the same terms and conditions as it were in his previous appointment and as stipulated in the TETFUND staff conditions of service.
Bogoro initially handed over to Baffa in August 2016, having worked with Adamu Adamu, the current Minister of Education, as an adviser.
Earlier, staff members of Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETFund) went on wild jubilation on Monday when Muhammadu Buhari fired, Abdullahi Bichi Baffa, the Executive Secretary.
