Federation Cup final hold in Lagos on October 30

The 2016 Federation Cup final between FC IfeanyiUbah and  Nasarawa United will hold on October 30, 2016 in Lagos a top official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has informed.

FC ifeanyiUbah defeated Crown FC 2-1 in a disputed semi-final tie decided at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna while Nasarawa United pipped four time winners, Enyimba 1-0 in the other last four tie played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan last weekend.

The head of the Federation Cup competition, Emmanuel Adesanya told Goal that: “The final will be played in Lagos on October 30 and we are all looking forward to the day. All roads lead to the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos. We have got the assurance of the Lagos State Government that the day is appropriate for the event.”

Lagos has been the venue of the Federation Cup final since 2011 and Akwa United are the defending champions of the competition after defeating Lobi Stars 2-1 in 2015.
