Suge Knight told a Los Angeles court on 2 March that he was nearly blind and “can’t really comprehend what was going on”. He was taken to a prison infirmary after the hearing, at which he also announced he had sacked his lawyers and claimed he was receiving inadequate medical care in prison.
Yesterday, 3 March, a former boss of Death Row Records, a company which records murder crimes of people in America, told the Judge that Suge was now blind on one eye, with only 15% vision in the other. He said he had been shot six times over the last year, and had a blood clot in his lungs. He added that he had lost around 35 pounds in weight because of his many and various injuries.
Suge was last month charged with murder and attempted murder following an incident in which he struck two men with his pick-up truck. Terry Carter, 55, was killed when Knight’s vehicle hit him in the parking lot of a burger stand in Compton.
This was the 49-year-old’s third trip to hospital after a court hearing since he was charged. He was treated for a panic attack after being charged on 3 February, then examined by doctors again on 19 February after complaining about stomach problems relating to him being shot in a nightclub that had chris Brown in it.
