Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, on Monday, urged voters in the state to vote for him and all the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly election, saying a vote for other candidates will be a waste, in view of APC’s victory at the centre.
He made the appeal while speaking on an MITV programme monitored in Ibadan, the state capital.
The governor said votes for any of these parties – Accord, Labour or Social Democratic parties – is a vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he said had already crumbled in Nigeria, stating that the state could not afford to play opposition politics now when it stands a great chance of benefitting immensely from a federal government that is wholly the party’s.

The food items donated to the less privileged include rice, noodles, toiletries, fruit juice, baby milk, diapers and biscuits. Others are bibles, the church’s daily devotional-Seeds of Destiny, cloths and footballs. The Pastor of the church, Great Olusegun Ayodele, prayed for the recipients and urged them to have faith in God who is able to change their situation, emphasizing that with God all things are possible. Pastor Ayodele further urged the recipients to turn away from sin and accept Jesus, who rose from death, which is the reason for the Easter celebrations. sively for the APC presidential candidate, Gen. According to him, several initiatives of his administration, which required the approval or cooperation of the Federal Government, could not succeed because of the Federal Government’s refusal to play its role.
But now that the APC has taken over the Federal Government, Ajimobi urged voters to repeat the same massive support for him and the party in the April 11 election, just as demonstrated in the last election.
