APC Governorship candidate in Delta State Otegar Emerhor, scores of the party Chieftain and their supporters on Tuesday stormed the INEC Office in Asaba to protest against an alleged manipulation and falsification of the last Saturday’s presidential election results.
The protesters who took to the major streets in Asaba, the state capital with placards that read “PDP leave our results alone”, stop falsification of Results INEC and PDP, INEC and PDP stop this madness and release the results”.
They brazenly accused INEC and PDP members for deliberately increasing the figure of the results against what they claimed was initially recorded at various polling units across the state.
Emerhor who was apparently piqued by this development, called for the immediate cancelling of the entire election saying the authentic result with INEC has been falsified.
The APC Governorship candidate told journalists that the Party was not going to allow INEC and PDP succeed in the alleged manipulation because INEC did not follow the due process in the declaration of the results.
He said some of the results in most local government areas, such as Warri North, Ughelli North, Ethiope East and Isoko South the figures were increased in favour of PDP.
Hear him: “We are here to tell INEC that the results have been changed, and they are writing new results in side INEC Office which did not reflect the will of the people at the polls”.
