A group under the auspices of Congress of Kwara Progressives (CKP), has urged the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take speedy and judicial action that will end the agitations of the dissolved Ishola Balogun-Fulani led executives in Kwara state.
The dissolved executive members still lay claims to the structure of the party in the state through litigation.
CKP in a communiqué at the end of its political summit in Ilorin, the state capital urged all progressives’ social/political groups in the state to join APC to actualise their dreams come 2019 elections in the state.
The communiqué was signed by the convener of the summit, Hon Dele Shittu.
The communiqué reads: “Concerted efforts coupled with serious mobilisation, sensitisation and proper organisations be made towards the 2019 elections in the state to enable APC win the state from those holding it to ransom.
“It was agreed upon that purposeful, progressive and a clear vision government must be enthroned in the state after the current and dynastic government must have been seen packing in 2019;
that all prospective aspirants into elective positions under the platform of the APC in the state to tread softly by subsuming their individual interest into the larger and collective interest of the party and the state.
“Members were also implored to adopt fairness, equity and unity of purpose in all their activities in the state.”
The group also advocated a replication of this kind of political summit in all the 16 local government areas of the state, adding that would ensure cohesion, unity and progress of the APC in the state.
