President Muhammadu Buhari will today travel to the United Kingdom on a four-day medical trip at the instance of his doctor. In the course of the technical stop-over for aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week, the President had a meeting with his doctor and the physician requested the President to return for a meeting which he agreed to do, the Presidency said on Monday.
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, further disclosed that the President would return to Nigeria on Saturday.
On his return, the President will embark on two-day state visit to Jigawa, which was postponed due to the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) Ward Congresses held last Saturday nationwide.
The President’s visit to Jigawa will now take place on Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15.
