President Jonathan’s Aide Oronto Douglas Dies
Oronto Douglas, a top presidential aide and confidant of President Goodluck Jonathan, has died. A lawyer by profession, he was born in 1966.
Douglas died early this morning at the State House Clinic. He died from cancer-related complications.
He came to national and international prominence as an environmental activist.
Douglas had been sick for several years. Associates of President Jonathan said he continued to work over the last few weeks for Mr. Jonathan’s reelection, with a source saying he was devastated when his principal lost the presidential polls.
He is survived by a wife and children
