The Department of State Services has released former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Obadiah Mailafia after a six-hour grilling.
Mailafia had been invited by the DSS to appear at its office on Wednesday following an interview he granted to a radio station in which he accused a northern governor of being a commander of Boko Haram.
Daily Times gathered that Mailafia arrived at the DSS office located on West of Mines Street in Jos and was immediately ushered into one of the offices alongside his lawyer, Pius Akubo, SAN, while others who came with him in solidarity were barred from entering the premises.
Those, who were denied entrance, were later joined by placard-carrying protesters who demanded the release of the former CBN deputy governor.
