Benin stool: Odubu, Obaseki, others set politics aside, honour Crown Prince at Izakhue 

Major contenders in the forthcoming 2016 governorship election in Edo State, at the weekend, set aside differences in their political ambition to honour the Crown Prince of Benin kingdom and the Edaiken N’Uselu, HRH (Amb.) Eheneden Erediauwa.
 Prominent among them were the Deputy-Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, Dr. Godwin Obaseki, Charles Ehigie Arhiavbere (a retired Major-General) all aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) including Hon. Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
 The aspirants converged at the palace of the Benin monarch to join HRH (Amb.), when he performed the Izakhue traditional rite
on the gone beyond of the Oba of Benin, HRM, Omo n’Oba n’Edo, Uku .Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa (CFR). These politicians who wish to succeed the incumbent governor Adams Oshiomhole were spotted hobnobbing, embracing themselves in a joyous mood to the awe of many well-wishers at the palace ground sending a positive signal of their relationship.
 The Izakhue rites is said to be part of the funeral rites perform by the Crown Prince with the Isewenrho family playing a dominant role.
 According to information, the Isewenrho family play the role as traditional warriors and defenders of the monarch and the kingdom from internal and external aggression with a peculiar morning greetings, “Latòse” passed on until this present generation.
