A human rights group in Nigeria, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Osun State governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola , of sponsoring the attack and impeachment moves by APC lawmakers against Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Centre’s Executive Chairman, Adeniyi Sulaiman made available to our correspondent via electronic mail.
He also alleged Aregbesola of “reckless spending of the state resources to fuel the
ongoing political crisis in Ekiti State when hiss government failed to pay the salary of the Osun State workers for period of six months now”.
He faulted Aregbesola’s sponsorship of Ekiti State APC lawmakers to plug the State into an unending political crisis”, describing Aregbesola’s action as “evil, ungodly, anti-people, illegal, and undemocratic.
He therefore noted that it would not be augur well for the factional lawmakers to hide under the impression that their party, APC would form the central government in the next political dispensation to cause political turmoil for the state.
Attempt to reach Aregbesola’s media aide, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, proved abortive as he did not pick calls put across to his telephone.
He did not also respond to text messages put sent to his telephone.
