Alali Hart’s latest Interest

For Alali Hart, socialite and brain behind the Montaigne place, the last time she was a staple for the gossip tabloids was when reports of her alleged break up with Lagos big boy, Solayemijeremi, swirled around. The two alleged ex-lovers are back in the news but not together. While the sapele-born hunk’s name has been touted as the mystery man behind the controversial pregnancy of famous blogger, Linda Ikeji, the reverse is it for Alali.

This brilliant and top fashionista has stayed off controversies, building her brand and doing greatly. Her Montaigne place, the leading luxury fragrance, skincare, cosmetics and lifestyle company, has continued to thrive and become a major force in bringing luxury brands including world-renowned brands such as Creed, amouage, Black Up, Yves Rocher and Murad to the Nigerian public.

Montaigne place has even delved into the creative arts with extravagant and sublime perfume creations from some of the world’s greatest artists whose palettes are of active notes that transport the senses into different dimensions.

But now, she has taken it further with the unveiling of her outfit’s art development project tagged the ‘Montaigne place Urban Art series’ with its maiden edition held at the Montaigne place store at the palms shopping Mall in Lekki, Lagos on Thursday May 31. The series was an exciting experience for curators, collectors, enthusiasts and lovers of art where an 8ft by 11ft oil painting has been installed on the side windows overlooking the common areas of the mall. The svelte lifestyle mogul said the Urban Art series was conceived as a platform to bring to public view and enjoyment exciting modern and contemporary works of Nigerian artists by commissioning and installing art works in a variety of media by offering free access and viewing to the public. “Art creates a beautiful and Kinetic dimension to everyday life. It can educate, enlighten and uplift the mundane to the extra-ordinary”, she said.

Alali has grown Montaigne place into a chain that boasts of 18 branches in Lagos alone.
