Abuja school petitions First Bank over alleged forged loan document

Whiteplains British School has petitioned the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Board members of First Bank plc demanding a thorough investigation into the emergence of a “Tripartite Legal Mortgage” agreement on a loan arrangement with the bank.

The school said it had written all the 18 Board members of First Bank plc to keep them abreast of the activities of one of its Abuja branches.

The school counsel, Mr Chukwuma-Machukwu Umeh (SAN), made the petition entitled: “The pending devastating crumbling of First Bank loan system and ardent customers’ protest withdrawal; The forgeries smuggled bank’s loan arrangement with Whiteplains British School Ltd,” available to the press on Monday in Abuja.

The senior counsel advised the bank to internally investigate the documents used in the “Tripartite Legal Mortgage” agreement with the school and resolve some of the incredible outstanding issues to save the bank from public odium.
