A former presidential aspirant and former military administrator of Lagos State, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd) has told crowd of supporters during a meeting in Yola that President Muhammadu Buhari remains the most credible candidate to win election come 2019 and therefore they are pledging their total loyalty and support for his second term.
Marwa who is the convener and the founder of Marwa Organisation Support President Buhari for 2019″, was addressing over 20 Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) which were collated to support the Marwa organisation for Buhari.
He told the gathering that the meeting is not about Adamawa State or himself, but about Nigeria and the leadership of the country.
According to him, Buhari has proven reasons for everyone in Nigeria to support him, especially those from the North Eastern region of the country.
He reminded the crowd that Buhari has fulfilled many of his campaign promises in the area of electricity and the spread of roads construction in the entire North East.
The former Military Administrator who was getting affirmation from the people who were responding yes, and agreeing with Marwa as he listed the President’s achievements and his decision to support Buhari, pointed out that it was because of laudable infrastructural development and North East development Commission Bill that was recently passed into law.
“Buhari has quite done some remarkable achievements in releasing bailout funds to governors to settle all outstanding salaries of Nigerian workers.
“Mambila Hydro Electricity Power is another giant project that can boost economy of the entire country, especially North Eastern part of Nigeria where the company is situated,” Marwa said.
Adding that, “Our stand as Marwa Organisation is to support Buhari to win and the decision was made after a careful consultation.
“Knowing the fact that the Buhari government has achieved a lot in the area of security and fighting corruption; he grew the economy to the extent of taking the country out of recession,” he said.
He noted that the because of the commitment, sympathy for the downtrodden in the society exhibited by the Buhari led government, the organisation will solidly support President Buhari in 2019.
“The time is now for us to make the decision and stand by it toward 2019 presidential election,” he said
