The All Progressives Congress (APC), has again made a U-Turn by postponing the Presidential primary election, earlier scheduled for Thursday, September 20 to Tuesday, September, 25.
The party earlier scheduled its Presidential primary election which was to hold by the direct primary mode to nominate the flag bearer of the party in the 2019 Presidential election.
This postponement arose after the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party on Wednesday, approved the review of the table-table for the conduct of the 2018 Primary Elections.
The APC National Organizing Secretary, Emma Ibediro, who conveyed the decision of NWC in a statement made available to journalists at the party secretariat on Wednesday said: “Governorship primaries will now hold on the 29th September while 2nd October is the new date for Senate Primary Elections”.
He revealed that 3rd October is the date for House of Representatives Primary Elections and 4th October is for the States House of Assembly.
According to the statement, “6th October is National Convention to ratify the election of the presidential candidate earlier elected through direct primaries”.
